Cry In The Desert
A dramatic view of the dark-skinned boy clothed in yellow, standing in an ancient fortress high above the desert overlooking the vast desert mountains.
In my vision that inspired this painting, I heard him crying out to the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
Maybe he is Ishmael, or a descendant of Ishmael, searching for truth, searching for love, for destiny.
God named Ishmael before he was born: Genesis 16:11 "And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard thy affliction." Ishmael means "God hears." In Genesis 17:20 God blesses Ishmael: "And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee; Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation."
I believe we need to love and pray for all of the descendants of Ishmael, God has a destiny for them that is great. Many men and women from the Middle East are having dreams about "the man in white, Jesus Christ," and are having personal encounters with Him and being born again.
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy." Acts 2:17-18
