Worship At The Well
“Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks from this water will get thirsty again.  But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty again—ever! In fact, the water I will give him will become a well of water springing up within him for eternal life.”  John 4:13,14  (HCSB)
“Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture says in John 7:38, ‘out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”
INSPIRATION:  The first time that we meet the Samaritan woman named Photini, (which means “the enlightened one”), is the day that she came to the well alone, as she always did. Yeshua chose this ordinary, yet very special woman, as the first person to whom he revealed himself as the Messiah, the long-awaited Anointed One.  He said to her, “Now is the time that Father is seeking those who worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
Scripture tells us that she was zealous, and she told everyone that she met about Yeshua Messiah and how he changed her life. Many Samaritans came to put their trust in Yeshua because of her.  She is a powerful example to us that God wants US to share our testimony!
I wanted to tell her story from the perspective of what her life might be like after her encounter with Yeshua. I can imagine that she couldn’t wait for the sun to rise every morning!  She goes to the well and remembers Yeshua with a joyful and grateful heart!  She knows that she is loved, and she is consumed with worshipping Him in spirit and in truth.  She is full of gratitude and the LIVING WATER is literally overflowing from her!
ABOUT THE PROCESS:  The painting was birthed in Israel, April of 2024, worshipping at Susiya.  My friend Cathy is the worshipper represented here.  This is a very special ancient city in The Negev Desert that has ruins of a Synagogue and houses that have evidence of Believers in Yeshua living here in the years following His ascension.  The well in this painting is patterned after a well at Ancient Shiloh.  The sunset and the water are patterned after our sunrise worship adventures at The Dead Sea, a few days before we were at Susiya.
